Jubilee Life Insurance Corporation of Tanzania is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to fill the role of Cyber Security Analyst. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to strengthening cybersecurity operations and protecting critical systems and data.
Role Purpose
Reporting directly to the IT Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities within operational environments. The role will also involve supporting projects such as penetration testing and simulating security breaches to uncover and address system weaknesses.


Key Responsibilities


Security Strategy & Governance
Develop and implement security strategies, protocols, and controls to protect against cyber threats and data breaches.
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess risks and vulnerabilities and recommend proactive security measures.
Participate in the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
Provide technical input during security reviews, penetration testing activities, and post-incident reviews.


Cybersecurity Operations


Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and threats.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits across systems and networks.
Implement and maintain endpoint, network, and cloud security controls.
Support incident response and digital forensics processes where required.


Risk, Compliance & Documentation


Conduct risk assessments and support compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and regulations such as:
ISO 27001
NIST
GDPR
Local data protection laws
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal privacy and data protection policies.
Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident response plans.


Collaboration & Awareness


Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure secure system design and deployment.
Support cybersecurity awareness and staff training initiatives.
Provide guidance and support to internal teams on security-related matters, promoting a culture of security awareness and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience


3–4 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity operations, risk management, or security engineering within a medium or large organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP (Associate), or CISM are highly desirable.
Hands-on experience with:
SIEM tools
Firewalls
Endpoint protection solutions
Vulnerability management systems
Strong understanding of network protocols, secure system architecture, and cloud security best practices.
Knowledge of security policy/standards development, secure infrastructure design and security reviews.
Working knowledge of virtualization technologies, remote access, and secure mobile technologies.
Knowledge of incident response and digital forensics processes is an added advantage.
