Key Accountability & Responsibility Areas

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring strong government engagement and regulatory compliance to support smooth operations and outstanding customer experience. Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with government institutions to ensure the overall customer experience remains among the best in the region.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key government agencies and influencers to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Managing regulatory liabilities to ensure legislative compliance and alignment with corporate objectives.

  • Developing a structured and systematic approach to resolving operational and regulatory challenges.

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant Tanzanian laws and regulations.

  • Promoting continuous improvement, humility, and safety culture across the organization.

  • Working closely with Public Affairs, Government Relations, and internal stakeholders.

  • Monitoring legislative developments and reviewing internal policies that may impact the business environment.

  • Overseeing government regulations affecting the business and ensuring operational compliance.

  • Monitoring regulatory changes that may affect the logistics sector and operations.

  • Supporting smooth day-to-day operations through effective engagement with government officials.

  • Actively supporting Alistair Group’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.

Education, Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience.

  • International exposure will be an added advantage.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-driven, innovative, and able to demonstrate leadership.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.
