PHYSICS TEACHER – GRADE III C (PHYSICS)

Duties and Responsibilities

The Physics Teacher (Grade III C) shall be responsible for:

1. Preparing work plans, lesson preparations, lesson notes, and an action plan for other assigned duties;

2. Preparing, developing, and using teaching and learning aids/materials;

3. Teaching, assessing learners, and keeping records of students’ academic progress;

4. Supervising and monitoring students’ attendance at school and in classrooms;

5. Supervising students’ intellectual, physical, and spiritual development, and providing guidance and counselling;

6. Providing professional and academic advice on education development;

7. Supervising and ensuring proper care and management of school equipment and property; and

8. Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of School according to school responsibilities.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

• Bachelor with Education or Bachelor of Education with Physics as a teaching subject;

OR

• A non-education Bachelor’s Degree with Physics as a teaching subject plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from recognized higher learning institutions approved by the Government.
