Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Deliver NECTA curriculum effectively using modern teaching strategies aligned with a competency-based approach
Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate:
lesson plans
schemes of work
lesson notes
examinations and assessments
Support students’ holistic development through Extra Curricular Activities (ECAs)
Inspire and mentor learners to participate in academic and non-academic programs
Undertake additional responsibilities including:
being on duty
leading school assembly
guiding student projects
participating in school committees
Candidate Profile (Who You Are)
We are looking for a teacher who is:
Highly motivated with excellent attention to detail
Student-centred and able to create an engaging learning environment
Mature, independent, and professional in conduct
Committed to high academic and moral standards
Flexible and able to follow school policies and procedures (including weekends when required)
Vibrant, disciplined, and motivational in personality
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
✅ Must be a Tanzanian citizen
✅ Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Science and Biology
✅ Graduated from an accredited university in Tanzania, Kenya, or Uganda, with excellent academic performance
✅ Minimum 3 years teaching experience in Secondary School after graduation, preferably in top performing schools
✅ Strong ability to teach using modern pedagogy and competency-based assessments
✅ Excellent communication skills in English (medium of instruction)
✅ Demonstrate strong teaching ethics and professionalism
Added Advantage:
Ability to competently teach a second subject at secondary school level
